Finalist 2009 National SAM Awards - Home Renovation Any Room

Boat building mentality had to be adopted to create as much space as possible and at the same time not waste any space with structural requirements. The space had to be entirely gutted, dug out from underneath and at the same time secure the 2 existing townhomes above. All systems were upgraded to high energy efficiency standards. The interior design was a collaboration between the owner and contractor.
