Details

This minimalist mountain home sits atop a steep lot with outstanding views and sun exposure. The house itself was built to meet BC Step Code 5 Energy Efficiency standards. Instead of framing the house on site, prefabricated panels were chosen for the superstructure and were lifted in by crane. This allowed us to save on labor costs, get the job done faster and protect the framing from prolonged exposure to weather conditions. A double garage with 11’ high ceiling offers a lot of storage space for sports equipment. An elevator to the main entry was built to enable easy access to the house. The exterior colour scheme, unusual for Whistler, came from a client's wish to have a similar look as their previous house in Vancouver.
